Fishing Restricted by Covid Regulations 21/12/20
Wales is now in Tier 4 restrictions.Welsh Government regulations mean that you are only allowed to fish if you make it part of your daily exercise. You should walk or cycle to fish.You may only drive if you have a disability. These regulation will be kept under review but are unlikely to change before 4th January 2021....[read more]

The club risk assessment means that you should observe the following: 1. Do not fish if you have Covid 19 symptoms STAY AT HOME. 2. Stay 2 meters away from other anglers and users. 3. Fishing means fishing!
Please note our access rights are for fishing only. We are not entitled to swim, picnic/BBQ or walk dogs along the river. Please do not upset our landowners who have been very accommodating during these difficult time. Landowners rightly get annoyed when they see people without fishing equipment tramping over their land. Please remember that we have a NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE CLUB WATERS rule. Failure to observe will result in you being asked to leave the river and your membership reviewed....[read more]

Local driving to fish permitted
Welsh Government and the Angling Trust have stated that driving locally to fish in Wales is now permitted. You may drive to your nearest suitable venue using common sense. Travel for fishing is not unlimited in Wales unlike England. Please do not travel from Wales to fish in England or vice versa. Local fishing open from 18th May 2020
Fishing is to re-open to local anglers from Monday 18th May. You may only walk or cycle to fish as part of your daily exercise. You may not drive to fish. Fishing Remains Closed
At the present time all fishing remains closed. There are various differing pieces of opinion on the internet that may say differently. We await clarification from Welsh Government on whether it is permissible to drive to fish. We are also liaising with our landowners as to whether they wish to allow access over their land. Fees announced for 2020
At our recent annual meeting the fees for 2020 were fixed. Please renew your membership now by sending a cheque made payable to Llangollen Angling Limited to Mr Derek Bithell, Nant Y Mynydd, Brook Street, Llangollen. LL20 8LS. Please enclose your membership card and a stamped addressed envelope for ease of return. The new fees are set out in the full news section below. Hanak International Grayling Competition 7th/ 8th Dec.
The Hanak International Grayling competition will be held over the weekend of 7th and 8th December 2019. The Llangollen Maelor beats will be used from the Horseshoe Falls upstream for the competition. This means the upper beat above the Falls will be closed to members and day ticket holders....[read more]
