Careing for your catch
As a club we promote careful catch and release principles. Please try and observe the following.
1. Minimise air exposure of your catch as it is harmful to recovery.Try to keep the fish's mouth and gills submerged during handling.
2. Eliminate contact with dry/rough surfaces. Try to land the fish in the water.Wet your hands prior to handling.Hold the fish in the water.
3. Reduce handling of your catch.Always carry a tool for unhooking the fish easily.Return the fish to the water as quickly as possible.
